A very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! (Semana 25)

"Lets hope it's a good one, without any fear"  Merry Christmas yall! and Happy New Year since that's in 2 days. It's crazy to think that it'll be 2025 in less than 48 hours   The past 6 months of this year have felt like they slipped from my grasp too quick. June went by way too quick with work and mission prep, July didn't feel real being stuck at home for 2 weeks and then magically being in Mexico, August also feels like a fever dream, and then I've been in California since... They say as a missionary, the days drag on but the weeks zoom right by, which I have noticed is so true.  This week was one of those weeks that went by pretty slow though haha. It was Christmas week so finding and teaching went by pretty slow... no one wanted to have a lesson so that sucked   We did have quite a few successful stopbys with inactives and our friends!  On Christmas eve, we went to a members home from the English sisters ward! The Beihns gave us so many gift...

Oh come, all you unfaithful. Come weak and unstable (Semana 24)

"Come, know you are not alone...Christ is born for you"  We had transfers this week! I'm now with Hermana Franklin back in Ontario East! Also... one of my first days back, you'll never guess... Another fire started! Woo! So its been pretty smoky the past couple days. Let me tell you just how good God is! Being sent back to Ontario East has been such a blessing! Throughout the week, we would interact with some of the members, and every single one of them was super excited to see me back!  I started my week with some awesome little letters from the primary kids and young women! I was so happy to get some letters! Its nice getting mail!  Hallel, one of our amazing friends, invited us to the Sociedad de Socorro dinner on Saturday and the amount of double takes more of the members had to take to realize I was back in the ward was super funny!  My recent convert Aldo had only been to church once last transfer because his work schedule was crazy and he had to work ev...

"Lots of people around, baby please come home..." Lol thats a lie. There is no snow. But there are lots of people around! Its quite overwhelming  Transferencias ya? How has it already been another transfer? Granted, this one was only 5 weeks but still... where did the time go? Christmas is 9 days away and I'm moving out of Riverside! Twas a good 5 weeks I get to go back to Ontario! I am so excited! I will be with Hna Franklin who everyone loves lol. Im super excited to go see my friends from before I left and hopefully get them baptized this transfer! Im excited to see Maribel and Hallel again! I get to work with my recent converts Aldo and Kenia again! I am so excited to be with them otra vez!  This week was pretty normal... not much exciting happened lol. Saturday and Sunday were our most exciting days lol. Saturday we had "light the CRM" were we are outside finding or teaching lessons from 10am-2pm and we went to a park for some of our finding time. Sister s...

Oh I believe there are angels among us (semana 22)

"Sent down to us from somewhere up above. They come to you and me, in our darkest hours"  Let me tell y'all. Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year! I love having my focus on Jesus Christ! The past couple years I have felt some angels pretty close but while being on my mission, I have felt 2 super strong spirits walking side by side with me. Imma be so honest, the mish is not easy! Its been such a huge adjustment and in the process of trying to adjust, I have asked for so many blessings. They fo truly help but about 2 weeks ago, I asked my zone leader to give me a blessing. In the middle of that blessing, Papa Welch joined in. Its such a unique feeling having the presence of angels with you as you go about your day.  Lets see, this week was kinda crazy! We went and saw the Christmas lights in downtown Riverside at the mission Inn last Monday as our PDay activity. I got stuck at the other sisters apartment quite a bit last week because Sister Stout and Sis...
