Oh I believe there are angels among us (semana 22)
"Sent down to us from somewhere up above. They come to you and me, in our darkest hours"
Let me tell y'all. Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year! I love having my focus on Jesus Christ! The past couple years I have felt some angels pretty close but while being on my mission, I have felt 2 super strong spirits walking side by side with me. Imma be so honest, the mish is not easy! Its been such a huge adjustment and in the process of trying to adjust, I have asked for so many blessings. They fo truly help but about 2 weeks ago, I asked my zone leader to give me a blessing. In the middle of that blessing, Papa Welch joined in. Its such a unique feeling having the presence of angels with you as you go about your day.
Lets see, this week was kinda crazy! We went and saw the Christmas lights in downtown Riverside at the mission Inn last Monday as our PDay activity. I got stuck at the other sisters apartment quite a bit last week because Sister Stout and Sister Sterrett had to do a training at zone conference so I got to go on multiple mini exchanges the past 2 weeks so they could finish that training. Luckily I got to hang out with Sister Wargo A LOT! I love her so much.
We had Zone Conference! That was so fun! Sister Hendrikson loves looking for me to give me my "mom" hug because its the closest thing Ill get to getting a hug from my mom for the next year or so... I do look forward to that haha. We had some awesome trainings but our main focus was on pride! We had read 2 talks in preparation for ZC. "Beware of Pride" by President Benson, and "In the space of not many years" by Elder Bednar. I challenge yall to read those talks and send me an email of what yall liked! Please
We had service on Thursday! We went to an air force base and helped load shirts and hoodies into peoples cars to hand out to those in need! The people on the base were so greatful for all we did and even let us take some boxes for the bishops storehouse! There was one veteran there who was blind and couldnt hear very well. He was refered to as Sergent Major. I sat next to him in the picture *see below* and he asked who was next to him, so of course, I told him who I was and then he proceeded to ask me if I was the leader of the group. Our zone leader, Elder Felt, was the first one to speak up and said that I was but I tried to convince him i wasnt. But out of the 4 zones of missionaries that went and helped, I was the only one who got a coin from Sgt. Major!
That was a super cool experience! He said he wishes there was more he could do to show us how greatful he was but I told him that him being there was just enough. Twas a cool experience!
We had our english ward Christmas party on Saturday! It was a breakfast which was super fun and we were only able to stay for the beginning and had to leave but it was good.
Okay. Thats all I got this week haha
Escritura de la semana...
3 Nefi 18:24
Have the most amazing week! Mostly because I said so but mainly because you want to! I love you all!
