"We're unforgettable"  Week 1 in Cali  ️  (Well not a full week but oh well)  Last Tuesday, we had a devotional given to us from Hugo Montoya (not to be confused with Inigo Montoya) from the 70. He talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon. Half way through, he started asking for scriptures or stories from the BoM that have impacted missionaries lives and how we've been impacted. I was able to share 2 Nephi 31:20 which talks about pressing forward with a steadfastness in Christ. And I was the only sister to share a scripture! Woo. Big flex After the devo, I kept telling myself i wasnt going to go to sleep because there was no point in sleeping as i had to be up in 2 hours anyways. But our cute housemates Hna. Beal and Leonard let us use one of their phones for an alarm. I sure miss those girls. I did end up taking about an hour and a half nap but still got some sleep! And then Wednesday was just full of travel.  We got to the airport around 3 and ...

"Our final night" (in the CCM) This week has been crazy! A week full of lasts! Lots of emotions but surprisingly not a lot of tears. This weeks email is going to be a little different because I don't have my personal phone so no quotes and songs. And probably no pictures.  This week definitely felt like the longest but shortest week so far! Our schedule was so packed so it made the days go by so much slower but it was Monday one day, I blinked, and soon enough it was Sunday.  You're receiving this email a day earlier because in like 12 hours I will be on a flight back up to the estados unidos! ): no me quiero. And we will see what day my PDay ends up being when I make it to California. Being here in the CCM has been such an experience! Good and bad. It's crazy to think only 2, maybe 3 weeks ago I was on the phone with my mom, on the verge of tears, because I wanted to come home and now I am so ready to get to California and spread the gospel to those who want to...

"Son puros recuerdos, de tiempos ajenos, de buenos momentos"  Its officially my last week in Mexico.... But like humbe says, "They are pure memories, from times long gone, of good times". I will be back up in the heat, the dry, and the busy of the city in 1 week. But hopefully i will actually be able to listen to music other than hymns   i love hymns! Dont get me wrong. Theyre just a little repetitive when that is the only thing you can listen to.  And for those who havent caught on yet, my email titles are song lyrics from one of the songs on my song list... thought id make that clear since i kinda use lyrics that might not make the most sense   ill also keep this email short... It is so crazy to think i have been in mexico for just shy of a month and have to leave so soon   no me quiero salir! But i am excited to get back up into the states where i can explore the area a lot better. Sadly the only time i get to see mexico city is when we ...

Lemon boy and me...

"Started to get along, together.."  Just kidding... my "lemon boy" and I still have not found a way to "get along" (work together). I want something and they want something else. Every time I ask them to do one thing for me, their response is, "cant we just do that later?" And then they continue walking away. And then, when they ask me if we can do something and I respond with, "cant we do that later?" They throw a fit. Its great. I love it... Also, Lo siento in advance (just skip to the end) On Thursday morning, I was able to get a priesthood blessing from my awesome cousin, Elder Welch! It is so unique getting priesthood blessing, but even more unique receiving one from your family. I personally hate asking for help (so having the courage to ask for a blessing is not on my radar) but luckily, I have the most wonderful mom who reached out to Elder Guymon (who is my 6th cousin) and Elder Welch (who is my first cousin) and asked both o...
