Even when the dark comes crashing through...

"When you need a friend to carry you, when youre broken on the ground, you will be found"

You will be found from dear evan hansen has been stuck in my head for the past couple days and I'm not sure why... am I complaining? No. Not at all. We all at times need a friend to carry us through the dark times and when we find ourselves broken on the ground. I guess that is the cool thing about missionary work.

God has prepared so many people for me to find and to teach about His Gospel! I get to be the friend to carry them through the dark times and when they are "broken on the ground". I hate being social but I LOVE helping others. One full transfer in and I have already found so many amigos who just need a friend to carry them through their hard times! And to help them find joy in the Gospel and growing their relationship with God!

Hola Tonotos (see attatched picture at the end)... Our barrio had a fiesta on Saturday! It was a culture celebration! Everyone brought a plate of food that was native to their country! We had food from Columbia, Mexico, El Salvador, etc. It was genuinely so fun! There were also dances that we got to watch! Hna. Nicholson and I sadly only got to watch 2. We had our friend Aldo there! It was awesome! I feel so good about Aldo! He genuinely has a want to learn more about the gospel! I know he is going to go far!

After the fiesta, we went and had dinner with a family who is like half active and half not. We were there for almost an hour and a half. Poor èlder Nielson had started his message at about 40 minutes into dinner and the Hno we were eating with, went on for another 40 minutes about the importance of scriptures and kept pulling random scriptures from his back pocket 😂 it was crazy!

And then transfer boards dropped later that night soooo.... hna nicholson and I are doing another here in Ontario East and staying in De Anza! Wooo! Only Sister Robinette is leaving from our house :(. We are all so sad. But shes happy she gets to go to Temecula!

The Elders joke with me too many times that because my spanish is so good, im going to third transfer train... oh how i hope that doesnt come true. I would be fine. I mean look at me, i took my english STL who knows a little Portuguese on an exchange in the Spanish area and lead it out, made all the phone calls, talked to everyone who answered their door, taught the lessons, all by myself in Spanish. So it would happen...but it wouldnt be the best. 😂
During zone conference a couple weeks ago, my zone leader gave one of his "farewell" testimonies. In which he shares a scripture from Isaiah 59. Elder Stamm said that Isaiah is a hard book of scripture to understand, so I took it upon myself to try and read this book...i have so far made it to Isaiah 18, and he is right...it is a little difficult to understand. Anyways. Elder Stamm shared Isaiah 59:17 which says "For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak." This is just another scripture of putting on the armor of God. We all should be putting on the breastplate of righteousness everyday, the helmet of salvation everyday...

Welp. Transfer 1 ✅️

La escritura de la semana
2 Corintios 6:14

14 No os unáis en yugo desigual con los incrédulos, porque, ¿qué tiene en común la justicia con la injusticia? ¿Y qué comunión tiene la luz con las tinieblas?

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Have the most AMAZING week! Mostly because I said so but mainly because you want to! 💕
