Ola amigos! Envia oraciones a la gente en San Bernardino! Hay es un incendio muy grande! The "Line" fire really blew up overnight Friday evening to Saturday morning. I think it went from 7,000ish acres to 17,000 acres in the blink of an eye. And now it is up to 20,000. So the people, homes, animals, and everything else in San Bernardino needs your prayers. The fire is far enough away from me, im only affected by the dense smoke that is coming into the valley. But I will say, it does make for some really pretty sunrises and sunsets! The Hermanas and I cant stay outside for too long to enjoy them though

Well on the note of one natural disasters... I felt my first earthquake while being on my mission! And apparently there were 2 on the same day... Hna Nicholson and I were in the middle of a lesson when we felt the first one and a massive train passed by so we honestly just brushed it off as the train.

Happy September! I hit my 2 month mark yesterday! and the day before that, I hit 700 dias en Duolingo guau!

I got to do my first exchange this week! I headed over to Ontatio West and joined the Tongan area for a day I learned "Malo e Lelei! Ko kimautolu 'a e kau faifekau!" Which means... hey! We're the missionaries! Dont ask me to repeat it next week...I wont remember.

Our amigos who actually want lessons here are so nice. We had 2 lessons with our cute amiga Maribel this week and they both went so well! She is so receptive to our lessons and she wants to learn more so bad. Her daughter keeps telling her were testigos de jehová (jehovah witnesses) and Hna. Nicholson tries so hard to explain the differences.

We've also got another super cute amiga named Kenia who was on date for end of October, but we got her date moved up for Sept 22!! That was kinda crazy! The hnas before us didnt think anyone could move her date. She was set on leaving it out that far but Hna. Nicholson was determined to move it up so she said yes!

Highlights of the week:

• Got my 4th priesthood blessing this week by my District Leader, Elder Nielson, and his two comps, Elder Schimmelbusch (hna Jones!! I didnt even have to look very hard to find him! He is right here in my District!) and Elder Hirst, were able to join as well. I am so thankful for the power of priesthood and the blessings I can receive from those worthy to hold that power.

• Moved our amigas fecha up

• Played more guitar! (But I have yet to go get one. It made it hard to find an open store in my area with the holiday last Monday)

• I FOUND A PIANO! ugh. I've never been more happier. Last Monday I really wanted to play piano and when my comp and I got to the church to wait for the rest of the zone, we went and found a room with a piano and some chairs so she could play sudoku while I played the piano

• I finished the BoM! I had a goal to finish in my 6 weeks of MTC but was not able to... so then I switched it to 2 months

• We hit lots of milestones this week

• Been enjoying all the pyrocumulus clouds that have been forming! Did you know that pyrocumulus clouds can hold lightning? And that most of the strikes happen in the clouds themselves... I also learned about all the fires going on up in Idaho. The Lava fire? Dang! Yall stay safe out there. Pray for the firefighters and for more rain!
