Guau. This week has been crazy. First of all, one of the fastest weeks while being en el campo... Second of all, crazy things just kept happening. 

Kenia came to church for the second time yesterday so she will be baptized on Sunday! We will have her interview hopefully on Wednesday! She is so ready! I am so excited for her. And it will be my first actual baptism! Wooo

We had zone conference this week and that was fun. We had lots of trainings on the importance of weekly planning. It's great! Woo 🙌 We also learned about the "big daddy step" from on of the AP's Elder Sparrow. It's so sad he's leaving in like 2 weeks. 

Sister Robinettes birthday was last Monday so we had so many sweets in our fridge from all their friends and members. It was awesome. 

I introduced the sisters in my house to cinnamon and sugar toast! Woo. Been surviving off of grilled cheeses, peanut butter and jellys, and cinnamon and sugar toast all week. I didnt buy bananas last week and regretted it so bad. 

Yesterday was Mexico Independence Day so for our member meal we had Pozole...it was fire 🔥 we also had some meat and rice which we made into tacos. Hna. Garcia gave us peppers to which she kept telling us to be careful because they were super spicy but they really weren't 😂 

The fires are still burning... There are 3 surrounding our little area in Ontario and collectively, they have burned over 110,000 acres. The horizon has been so smokey! All week! It leads to really pretty sunsets. We haven't had many sunrises lately because we wake up with complete cloud cover! We have gotten a little bit of rain and the weather has been so nice! Not the 100+ we saw everyday last week. 🙃 

Highlights: 
•Kenia came to church! 
•Marycarmen finally found time to have a lesson and she LOVED it! 
•Marysela really only wants the English Connect classes the èlderes and us teach but she also agreed to a lesson and she loved it as well
•We got back in contact with a friend who was having lessons in the past and had a date but she chickened out so we will hopefully be able to keep lessons up with her 
•We have had really nice weather all week

 "And it started pretty slowly..." The song has nothing to do with the email this week... I just wanted to use a Benson Boone song... sooo.... yeah Happy Monday! I hope your week has been great! Send me an email! I'd love to hear about it!  This past week for me was great? I don't know... I'm really bad about feeling feelings. I will apologize in advance as my thoughts are all over the place. So be grateful that I can compose half comprehensible sentences.  Last Monday, I got it approved from the Pres to go buy an acoustic guitar today so hopefully we can find the time to do that! I have been playing my comps guitar but, come time for transfers, I may not be with her and won't, for sure, have a guitar to play to fill my time.  Tacos, tacos, and MORE tacos! Am I complaining? Absolutely not! We have had street tacos almost every single night and I love them! One of the families we ate with had something close to like a taco bar... they had like 4 different meats...

Even when the dark comes crashing through...

  "When you need a friend to carry you, when youre broken on the ground, you will be found"  You will be found from dear evan hansen has been stuck in my head for the past couple days and I'm not sure why... am I complaining? No. Not at all. We all at times need a friend to carry us through the dark times and when we find ourselves broken on the ground. I guess that is the cool thing about missionary work.  God has prepared so many people for me to find and to teach about His Gospel! I get to be the friend to carry them through the dark times and when they are "broken on the ground". I hate being social but I LOVE helping others. One full transfer in and I have already found so many amigos who just need a friend to carry them through their hard times! And to help them find joy in the Gospel and growing their relationship with God!  Hola Tonotos (see attatched picture at the end)... Our barrio had a fiesta on Saturday! It was a culture celebration!
