Ay mi famila, olga mi gente, canten a coro, let it be known *semana 16*

"Our love for each other will live on forever in every bit of my proud corazón!"

We are nearing Halloween which means we are ALSO nearing Dia de los Muertos! Sad thing is, none of our members celebrate it lol. I kinda wanted to see some ofrendas but I totally understand 😂 Hna Nicholson and I did see an ofrenda for cats 🤷‍♀️ that counts I guess. Been in the mood to watch Coco so to someone back home, go watch Coco for me 😂

I feel like not a lot happened but at the same time, a lot did happen so. Missionary life is strange.

Last Monday durning FTB hours, hna. Nicholson and I turned on the gospel stream radio and "Story of my life" the piano guys version was playing. Rip. Which was then followed by Brett Young which honestly did not feel like it should have been on the gospel stream app. The song was good and uplifting but all I could think about while listening was "in case you didnt know"

Twas a week of firsts...I was brought to english-land for the first time for my exchange this week! During said exchange, Sister Ryan and I ran into an Apostolic Preacher who proceeded to politely bash us and then ended the contact praying for us... sooo... yeah... all of which happened while Disturbia by Rihanna was playing on the street over at a trunk or treat party... one of my favorite parts of the exchange was when Sister Ryan sees a snail shell and goes "*gasp* a snail!" *picks up shell* "ooh he dead"

I also was brought to Costco for dinner the following day by our member who bought us food from the food court so he could go do his shopping 😂 it was awesome.

Latinos find it so interesting when they see dutch braids in my hair and their reactions to finding out i braided my own hair is pretty funny lol. I get lots of compliments on my hair in church.

I gave a talk in Sacrament meeting yesterday on the importance of the Book of Mormon. I got complimented on my talk by what felt like everyone in the Barrio lol. We were also supposed to have a baptism yesterday but we postponed it a week so I'd ask yall to pray for my friend Aldo! Por favor.

We went on a "zone" hike this morning! Wooo! It was us 4 sisters and the 4 English elders. The Spanish elders said "they didn't see the message"... and the Chinese elders just didn't want to go. They want to do a pumpkin carving contest instead... soo.

Highlights!
•Had a FIRE exchange with Sister Ryan! She is literally the cutest! And I got to be on a bike all day! (Which was not the greatest for my knee. Whoops. Who cares it felt so good) And literally EVERYONE we ran into was spanish so I did a lot of talking 😂
•Spent another day in Riverside. Gonna be a weekly thing for about a month 🙃😂 luckily it's not the whole day. Just an hour or so... but I did get to watch Halloweentown while waiting! That was fun
•We went hiking 2 weeks in a row! FIRE
•Weve had more clouds lately so really pretty sunrises and sunsets and also cooler days
•Saw so many dogs and cats!

Escritura de la semana...

2 Nefi 25:26

26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

26 Y hablamos de Cristo, nos regocijamos en Cristo, predicamos de Cristo, profetizamos de Cristo y escribimos según nuestras profecías, para que nuestros hijos sepan a qué fuente han de acudir para la remisión de sus pecados.

Have the best week ever! Mostly because I said so but mainly because you want to!

Also sorry for my jumbled thoughts. Just imagine something like this for my Sacrament talk but even worse cuz I had to give it in ✨️español✨️

Love yall 💕
