Lets see... what happened this week... We had Elder Hamilton from the 70 come out this past week! Mama, hes apparently the family history specialist or something like that! We learned how best to use family history in our contacting with people on the streets! I'm not exactly sure how well that will work for me but I'm down to try! Elder Hamilton was our speaker for zone conference so that was fun! 

In the middle of zone conference, Elder Hamilton decided he wanted to show us a clip from Indiana Jones 🤯 welp, it was on youtube and you know how youtube LOVES to give you ads... well we didnt watch the first one because he connected his iPad after it played but we got an awesome "dad bod" ad after the movie clip played. He definitely had everyones attention there in the room! Sweet sister Hendrickson was dying on the stage when that ad popped up 😂

After zone conference on Friday, Sister Hendrickson came up to me to see how I was doing and she ended up calling my sweet Holly Jones for me! Oh how greatful I was for that phone call! I miss everyone back home and it is so good to hear yalls voices every once in a while. 

Friends wise, our friend Aldo is on date for this upcoming Sunday! He is super ready! And were all super excited for him! He has been super down for church, any activities, literally everything! Weve got another sweet little friend, her name is Hallel! She is also super ready but there is one complication holding us back from baptism but I have faith within the upcoming months, she will get there! 

Some of our inactive members came to church yesterday! EHV's really do work! I was so happy to see more people there at church, even if it was only for Sacrament! 

Oh yeah, one direction song for today because RIP Liam Payne... we were all just sitting at the dinner table one day this week when Hna. Nicholson recieves a text from one of her friends telling her that Liam Payne died. Big RIP. We went to our handy dandy news tool, ✨️ Facebook ✨️ to see if it was true... 

The weather is finally cooling down! Ish. Were in the high/mid 80s this week but last week was so nice! Almost every day started out with cloud cover/fog and the fog didnt lift until like 2-3pm every day! It was so nice! 

I can finally see the mountains! And it makes me so happy! We have "fall colors" (as in the leaves died with the last heat wave and are now falling). 

We were supposed to go hiking last week but our zone was lame and we didnt go but at least us sisters went today! We actually ran into the Corona zone on the hike so we hiked down the hill with them. We will see if the elders actually show up to the church this week or if they will be lame and not show up like last week... 



Highlights...
• went hiking this morning, now were on our way to sephora
• had some fire lessons with Aldo
• the english sisters got a mini van so they dont have to ask us for rides everywhere now lol
• got to talk to mom and dad last night
• met Elder Hamilton from the 70s
• GOT ME NILLA WAFERS AND FRUIT SNACKS

  "Started to get along, together.."  Just kidding... my "lemon boy" and I still have not found a way to "get along" (work together). I want something and they want something else.  "And it started pretty slowly..." The song has nothing to do with the email this week... I just wanted to use a Benson Boone song... sooo.... yeah Happy Monday! I hope your week has been great! Send me an email! I'd love to hear about it!  This past week for me was great? I don't know... I'm really bad about feeling feelings. I will apologize in advance as my thoughts are all over the place. So be grateful that I can compose half comprehensible sentences.  Last Monday, I got it approved from the Pres to go buy an acoustic guitar today so hopefully we can find the time to do that! I have been playing my comps guitar but, come time for transfers, I may not be with her and won't, for sure, have a guitar to play to fill my time.  Tacos, tacos, and MORE tacos! Am I complaining? Absolutely not! We have had street tacos almost every single night and I love them! One of the families we ate with had something close to like a taco bar... they had like 4 different meats...

Even when the dark comes crashing through...

  "When you need a friend to carry you, when youre broken on the ground, you will be found"  You will be found from dear evan hansen has been stuck in my head for the past couple days and I'm not sure why... am I complaining? No. Not at all. We all at times need a friend to carry us through the dark times and when we find ourselves broken on the ground. I guess that is the cool thing about missionary work.  God has prepared so many people for me to find and to teach about His Gospel! I get to be the friend to carry them through the dark times and when they are "broken on the ground". I hate being social but I LOVE helping others. One full transfer in and I have already found so many amigos who just need a friend to carry them through their hard times! And to help them find joy in the Gospel and growing their relationship with God!  Hola Tonotos (see attatched picture at the end)... Our barrio had a fiesta on Saturday! It was a culture celebration!
