Oh the weather outside is frightful (semana 20)

 "But the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow" 


We have finally reached sweater weather!!! But how many sweaters do I actually have? 1... wooo! But luckily we're still in the high 60s-low 70s so its not horrible and I can be in a short leave Tee. It is funny how many funny looks the Californians give me because I am not cold! 

One of our main focuses this week has been staying diligent until the very end of the day (aka 9pm) so our mission has come up with "Juice Hour" from 8-9pm, if you don't have lessons, you're still outside of your house finding new friends in parking lots or at parks, doing stopbys, or trying to teach a quick doorstep lesson! It has been pretty fun and weve found a few new friends through it! 

Again, being comps with an STL leads to multiple exchanges throughout the week. One of my favorite exchanges this week though, was with my other STL. Sister Sterrett is a Cracked sister! Her and her comp are also over 2 wards and one of them is a YSA ward and I got to go to her area for institute! It was my 2nd time at institute there and it was honestly so fun! Those people are awesome! 

Sister Roberts has been sick like all week so Sister Ryan, Sister Stout, and I have been taking turns staying home which has not been the best! You NEVER want to have a sick comp. You'll get stuck in the house all day and it is not fun! There is NOTHING to do lol. There are 2 elders that we ward share with who have also been sick all week and they literally have not left their house in 5 days! We will see if they show up to PDay but my expectations are low lol. Luckily their comps have not caught what they have and theyre the fun ones so... 

Yesterday, my spanish ward had a Thanksgiving lunch after church so we got to hang out with the ward members and 2 of our 3 friends who made it to church! It was super fun! And I also taught the sisters in my house how to play the game 13. They love it 🫣😂 



Highlights...
•Met one of the english sisters FIRE friends named Alex! He has has some crazy things happen in his life and now he has a want to be baptized! 
•Sister Ryan and I went finding with one of my members dog. Honey was awesome! We talked to like 2 people but NOBODY was out. The Bagleys have said that if we want to take Honey out finding, were free to do so whenever and apparently Honey has baptized about 5 people! Sooo....
•I have a guitar...been playing almost every day! 
•I have been on top of drinking water this week. As a missionary, I have been the WORST at drinking water but I feel like ive done pretty good this week!

Lemon boy and me...

  "Started to get along, together.."  Just kidding... my "lemon boy" and I still have not found a way to "get along" (work together). I want something and they want something else. How come all the best things fall apart

 "And it started pretty slowly..." The song has nothing to do with the email this week... I just wanted to use a Benson Boone song... sooo.... yeah Happy Monday! I hope your week has been great! Send me an email! I'd love to hear about it!  This past week for me was great? I don't know... I'm really bad about feeling feelings. I will apologize in advance as my thoughts are all over the place. So be grateful that I can compose half comprehensible sentences.  Last Monday, I got it approved from the Pres to go buy an acoustic guitar today so hopefully we can find the time to do that! I have been playing my comps guitar but, come time for transfers, I may not be with her and won't, for sure, have a guitar to play to fill my time.  Tacos, tacos, and MORE tacos! Am I complaining? Absolutely not! We have had street tacos almost every single night and I love them! One of the families we ate with had something close to like a taco bar... they had like 4 different meats...

Even when the dark comes crashing through...

  "When you need a friend to carry you, when youre broken on the ground, you will be found"  You will be found from dear evan hansen has been stuck in my head for the past couple days and I'm not sure why... am I complaining? No. Not at all. We all at times need a friend to carry us through the dark times and when we find ourselves broken on the ground. I guess that is the cool thing about missionary work.  God has prepared so many people for me to find and to teach about His Gospel! I get to be the friend to carry them through the dark times and when they are "broken on the ground". I hate being social but I LOVE helping others. One full transfer in and I have already found so many amigos who just need a friend to carry them through their hard times!
