Christmas time is here... (semana 21)

Hey fam y friends... I'm alive. No need to worry. 🫡 okay see yall next week.

Jk. The elders and I joked that was what we were going to put as our emails this week haha. These elders really dont put much effort into these emails. Its actually super funny. They would much rather be playing sports and honestly I would too but I sadly dont have a sister who would want to join me. We did play handball today! That was super fun! 

Oh yeah! Happy thanksgiving! How was yalls turkey day? Mine was great! We had dinner with the Rodriguez family! That was super fun! The hna has a son on his mission in Brazil so he was calling home when we arrived. He said his spanish is going to be GONE by the time he gets home. We had ham, potatoes, macaroni salad, AND!... TAMALES!

Earlier in the week, the missionaries I ward share with decided they wanted to eat serranos at a members house. The zone leaders and I had half and were fine, the rest of the table had a bite and they couldnt handle it. The hno was laughing so hard! 2 of the elders just sat with the juices sitting in their mouth and then elder Merkley goes "elder...eat your chips...it hurts when you eat" and elder Peterson started eating his chips until the spice went away. They eventually finished their peppers and even asked for one more... that was not good... ill just leave it at one of the elders did not take the second one down...

We had some awesome lessons this week! Our friends were awesome and we got some awesome MPL's this week! Its so fun! We hit half of our goals this week! 

We did zone wide exchanges this week and I got to go with Sister Sr. Jones. (Yes we have Sr. Jones and Jr. Jones...but not only that but we have hna Jones in the mission too). It definitely doesnt get confusing so...but my exchange with sr. Jones was so fun! She is so cute! Shes a visa waiter so she is antsy to get to Australia but she is such an amazing missionary! She has such a strong testimony and is the most amazing teacher! Im gonna miss her so much when she leaves. 

Anna came and surprised me at church on Sunday! 

Ooh also!!! We went downtown and I got to be recorded for an ad that's going up on our mission page! Wooooo! That's gonna be fun!

  "Started to get along, together.."  Just kidding... my "lemon boy" and I still have not found a way to "get along" (work together). I want something and they want something else.  "And it started pretty slowly..." The song has nothing to do with the email this week... I just wanted to use a Benson Boone song... sooo.... yeah Happy Monday! I hope your week has been great! Send me an email! I'd love to hear about it!  This past week for me was great? I don't know... I'm really bad about feeling feelings. I will apologize in advance as my thoughts are all over the place. So be grateful that I can compose half comprehensible sentences.  Last Monday, I got it approved from the Pres to go buy an acoustic guitar today so hopefully we can find the time to do that! I have been playing my comps guitar but, come time for transfers, I may not be with her and won't, for sure, have a guitar to play to fill my time.  Tacos, tacos, and MORE tacos! Am I complaining? Absolutely not! We have had street tacos almost every single night and I love them! One of the families we ate with had something close to like a taco bar... they had like 4 different meats...

Even when the dark comes crashing through...

  "When you need a friend to carry you, when youre broken on the ground, you will be found"  You will be found from dear evan hansen has been stuck in my head for the past couple days and I'm not sure why... am I complaining? No. Not at all. We all at times need a friend to carry us through the dark times and when we find ourselves broken on the ground. I guess that is the cool thing about missionary work.  God has prepared so many people for me to find and to teach about His Gospel! I get to be the friend to carry them through the dark times and when they are "broken on the ground". I hate being social but I LOVE helping others. One full transfer in and I have already found so many amigos who just need a friend to carry them through their hard times! And to help them find joy in the Gospel and growing their relationship with God!  Hola Tonotos (see attatched picture at the end)... Our barrio had a fiesta on Saturday! It was a culture celebration!
